About Us


The European Center for Environmental Economy is a non-profit organization founded in 2009. Founding Members are the renowned former Vice Chancellor of Austria, Dr. Erhard Busek, President of Vienna Economic Forum and former Special Coordinator of the Stability Pact for South Eastern Europe, Dr. Elena Kirtcheva, former Ambassador of Bulgaria in Bern, Helsinki and Vienna, founding member, member of the board and Secretary General of Vienna Economic Forum, Mr. Ilyan Vassilev, former Ambassador of Bulgaria in Moscow and Director of Delloite Bulgaria, Mrs. Roumiana Taslakowa, well known journalist working long years in Deutsche Welle, Köln, together with other 23 founding members from Bulgaria, Austria, Germany and Macedonia, acknowledged names of high qualified specialists in diverse spheres of the public life, as well as young people that have studied and specialized in different European countries, USA, Canada, and have decided to bring their knowledge to their home countries.
