Maria Luisa Warburg
Born on September 30, 1938 in Geislingen - Germany. She graduates in Romance Studies in Florence - Italy.
From 1987, she develops many cultural activities in Eastern Europe - mainly in Bulgaria. In 1990 she founded an organization for emergency aid to Bulgaria under the patronage of the former president Zhelyu Zhelev with the support of the former German chancellor Helmut Kohl. In 1994 she was appointed to represent the European Affairs department of the Free Democratic Party in Hamburg and in the same time she founded the Liberal Discussion Forum in Hamburg, where she was elected chairwoman of the Forum. In 1996 she took the position of chairwoman of the Committee on Foreign and Security Policy in Hamburg. From 1996 to 1999 she vividly participates in the activities of European Liberals Group and in 1999 was a candidate for the European Parliament elections.
Honorary Positions: chairwoman of the Liberal Discussion Forum in Hamburg, vice-chairwoman of the Association for support of the Israeli Museum in Jerusalem, Member of the Board of the International Foundation St. Cyril and Methodius in Bulgaria.
